The Southern California franchisee group plans to start its expansion in Los Angeles and Orange County with 5 stores anticipated to open by the end of 2015. The stores will range between 1,200 – 1,500 square feet, plus patio for outdoor dining.
The new franchisee has signed on to develop 5 units in the Houston area, representing half of the total available market, leaving more stores available for purchase in the same territory.
The Halal Guys chain, which for years has only served food from a series of carts in midtown Manhattan, is expanding through franchises, and plan to open as many as 10 stores in the District proper.
